Important Notes Before Traveling
• To get to Hanoi, I flew to Noi Bai International Airport, which is about 30 km from the city center. I took a taxi or a bus to get to my hotel in the Old Quarter, the most popular area for tourists
• The currency in Vietnam is the Vietnamese dong (VND). I exchanged some money at the airport or at a bank in the city. I also used ATMs or credit cards for payments. The average cost of living in Hanoi is low compared to other Asian cities. I budgeted around $30-$50 per day for accommodation, food, transportation, and activities
